Here inside the palace of Marida, there’s an intense argument going on between Sadiq and the council about the murder of Sufyan, Both Queen Saudat and Aisha and their sons are present at the scene watching as Sadiq tries to talks his way of the unfortunate predicament… The Sultan, sits on his on chair, listening and watching with close attention.

Everyone waits patiently to see who these witnesses are, to Sadiq’s surprise, he sees the servants of Sufyan, standing before everyone, Sadness is written all over their places.

Mustapha Well, this was quite shocking, from what I can say Sufyan’s murderer is yet to be found but nevertheless the case presented haven’t shown any thing that my son is the killer of Sufyan, a bunch of witness and a cloak doesn’t prove anything… The witnesses could have been forced, after all they’re slaves… And as for the cloak it could have been stolen by the killer to make Sadiq take the fall… And as the young ladies statement… I can attest to that, I saw both of them leave on a horse back last night… They couldn’t have possibly gone to Sufyan’s house together unless the slaves want to tell me that they saw Jasmine as well….. Well does anyone have anything to say about this?

The slaves kept quiet, Abdul sat transfixed in his seat, he knew that with the testimony that the Sultan, this case was closed, objections would be totally useless at this point, so he and his fellow council men kept their mouths shut.
