TWO WEEKS LATER.
I woke up and yawned. Ever since that prayer we held two weeks ago, I haven’t been seeing Mazi Uche and his devilish friends.
The great news is that my dad has been recovering very very fast. The village youths have gathered and by the order of the king, we will all march to Mazi Uche’s house.
According to the rule of our village, if a villagers is not seen for up to three weeks, he shall be looked for whether he or she is evil or not.
I just wonder, why would he be hiding? Well its none of my business. Lemme go and check on my dad.
I said heading to my dad’s room. After checking on my dad I will go and visit my mum. Ahh, my sister chioma, I hope all is well with her.
I entered inside my dad’s room and was shocked. Lo and behold, my dad was sitting down with a smile on his face. I was very happy as I ran and hugged him.
Dad: ahh, take it easy boy.
Me: hahaha, good morning dad!
Dad: morning how was your night?
Me: cool. Please dad just stay let me prepare something for you to eat.
Dad: hahaha.
He laughed and relaxed on the bed as I ran out. Just then I heard a knock on our door.
Me: ohh who could that be?
I lamented as I opened the door but what I saw made me screamed again.
