Episode 18

Ben shouted surprised at what he saw.
He looked over and over to be conscious of what he was seeing.

His eyes popped out as realization hit him.
He saw the fierce looking policemen pointing guns at him while the lady grinned at him.

The lady seemed familiar to him, but he couldn’t figure out where he’d seen her.
“hands up!”
one of the officer commanded pointing the gun at him.

He reluctantly raised up his hands.

He took a last look at the disfigured body of clara.

It dawned on him that he was stacked unclad.
He quickly covered his d–k with his hand but was too late as the lady had already caught a glimpse of it.

The lady chuckled at ben’s stupidity.
The lady was Alice, clara’s friend. She’d came there to execute her own revenge mission, which was to snapshot ben& clara in the act and send it out to the net. Which would aid in blackmailing them. But unfortunately, she couldn’t as she saw the horrible scene, as clara was brutally murdered. And she quickly called the police and they caught him red handed.

“Move out!”

An officer shouted at him while ben shamefully walked out and they followed behind.

They took him to his room and ordered him to quickly wear a short which he did.

They handcuffed him and led him to their waiting van.

They hopped in. He sat in the middle of two officers. And they drove off to their station.
He never felt guilty of his actions neither does he showed remorse.

He was rather happy and fulfilled that made the officers wondering why he was all smiles. If only he knew what awaited him.

Ben was only worried for nancy, he knew the consequence of what he did but he was less perturbed about that.

If he could be grant a wish, he would have wished to see nancy hale and hearty and tell her that he’d conquered the beast that had been troubling them.

But thats just a wish.

In reality, he knew what la!d ahead for him.
They pulled the van to the parking lot and they alighted from the van.

Ben couldn’t help but feel sorry for himself, as he stepped down from the van.

He’d never been to a police station before, needless to say that he would sure pass the night in the cell.

They led him to the helpdesk where he wrote a statement and was afterward led to the D.p.o’s office.

“Benson!”
the Dpo called surprised on seeing ben.

Ben was jolted from his world of thoughts as he heard his name being called.

He froze as he saw the Dpo. He couldn’t believe who he was seeing.
“simeon!”
he unknowningly shouted the dpo’s name, covering his mouth as he chuckled.
“is this you?”
ben asked surprised to see him in such a sumptuous position.
“yes o, its still me o”
the dpo replied smiling sheepishly.

The officer standing was perplexed at the two folks as they knew eachother.

He wondered how the Dpo got to know the murderer simeon was once his numskulled friend back then.

He was an habitual drinker and smoker which led him also into drinking.

He indulge himself in a wayward lifestyle.

He was sharp and smart when it comes to girls but extremely indolent in academic.

Even a soothsayer would have foresee his future as a dormant one but here he was, as a police officer but not just a police officer but at an average rank at that.

They were both roomate and end up being course mate.

Ben had helped Simeon who rarely attend classes to avoid carryover.

He would exchange his booklet with him during exams.

They parted ways after they finished their eminent instutition.

And they lost communication.

“ben, what happened? Why are you with this?”

the dpo asked on seeing his handcuffed hands.

He took a deep breath and his expression changed to a serious one.

He became nervous and uneasy.

The dpo sensed the nervousness and he sent the officer standing away.
“simeon, i killed someone”
ben replied in a quivery voice.
“you did what?”
the dpo asked rhethorically standing up.
“i’m happy, i finally killed her, i….”
“what?, you’re happy you did what?”
the dpo intercepted screaming at the top of his voice.

An officer quickly barged in, he saluted the dpo and stood behind ben.

The dpo gesticulated his hands for him to go.
“ben?, can you tell me what exactly happened?”
the dpo asked with a cool voice and sat down.
He had known ben for long, and he knew ben does not act stupidly out of anger.

Ben also sat down and he told him everything leaving no details. He told him how clara almost ruined his marriage with nancy and nancy’s predicament at present.

The dpo’s expression changed to a sober expression.

While he contemplated within himself on how he would help him out.

A murder case, isn’t a case which he could overlook except if he did justice fairly.
Its a murder case which felony is of a greater task.

He thanked his stars as the case was brought to him. He had to act fast and not to act out of sympathy, he would surely loss his job if the case should get to the headquarters that he freed a murderer.
