Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 32
Previously on the ruthless Alexandra.
A Jeep from nowhere suddenly hit his car from behind and the impact made him lose his balance as he hit the steering wheel with his head. The head immediately bursted open and blood began trickling down his face. Another hit from the unknown Jeep made him jerk forth and back, crashing into the side window as glass shards got stuck in his head and blood spurted out from different cuts on his head. The Jeep was now beside Cole and it made a final clash as the jeep swerved right, crashing into Coleâs car, but this time harder which made Coleâs car to spin in rotation and skided off the road. Cole slowly drifted into unconsciousness as his eyes began to close on its own accord with pains from different angle seeping into his body. In his fuzzy sight, he subconsciously saw Amidu as the driver of the Jeep that crashed into him and then, everything went black

âWhat are you doing with a gun?â, she asked, pointing at his waist hostler.
âYou mean this?â, Agent Matt foolishly held up the gun for Alexandra to see but that was his greatest mistake as Alexandra quickly launched at him, twisted his hands and detached the gun from him as she snapped his fingers and the gun fell off his hands. She quickly took it and hit him twice with the butt of the gun, knocking him out as he slowly fell sideways in a heap. She pushed him off the driverâs seat and she took charge of the steering wheel, speeding down the road. The phone in her purse suddenly beeped. She reached for it and brought it out, it was a message and it read; âIs that the best you could come up with? Anyway, I also got your guy in my custody, lovebirds.â

Time: 9am
Location: Elekohia Teaching Hospital.
Agent Dave was seated in a white plastic armless chair. He was seated perpendicular to Cole who laid on the small sized hospital bed with a drip connected to his wrist and his whole head was stitched up due to the numerous cuts in his head. Cole was now conscious after he was being operated on immediately he was rushed in by passers by who witnessed the horrific scene. Dave had gathered enough information from the witnesses to what transpired between Cole and the assailant which he also took note of the wreckages for further investigation. He knew it wasnât an accident nor a coincidence but seemed like someone is trying to kill him.
Cole slowly opened his eyelids and immediately shut it back due to the reflection of the sun which peered in through the open louver, illuminating the whole room. He opened it afterwards which his pupil had adjusted to its surrounding and his head began to pound with an headache.
âOh my God! Youâre awakeâ, Dave said gleefully as he saw him open his eyes.
Cole looked up at him and a smile appeared on his face. He was happy seeing Dave for being there for him.
âHow do you feel?â, Dave asked in a concerned tone.
âIâm quite fine. At least, for nowâ, Cole replied trying to sit up on the bed but pains from different part of his body shot through him and he groaned.
âEasy, easyâ, Dave said, rushing to his aid as he helped him rest back on the bed. He shook his head as he watched Cole grit his teeth in pains.
âYouâre far from being fineâ, Dave said as he settled back into his seat.
âIâm fineâ, Cole managed to say amidst clenched teeth.
âNo, youâre not. I need to call the doctorâ
âPlease, donâtâ, Cole quickly said with a pleading eyes.
âWhy?â, Dave furrowed his eyebrows.
âI need to tell you something firstâ
âWhatever that thing is, it has to wait. Let me go get the doctorâ, Dave said, standing up.
âNo, pleaseâ, Cole begged and he let out a groan from a pain that seeped into his arm as he held Dave hands.
âCole let me go get the doctorâ, Dave insisted.
âI know who the killer isâ
âWhat?â, Dave squeaked. âSeriously?â
âSeriously. But first, you have to be seatedâ, Cole said.
Dave sat hurriedly as curiosity got the better part of him.
âSo who is the killer?â, Dave asked impatiently, eagerly awaiting the revelation.
âI never knew you could be this curious. You know, curiousity kills the catâ, Cole said chuckling.
âTrue but less you forget, Iâm not a catâ
âOh I get it. Youâre humanâ, Cole joked.
âPlease, stop beating around the bush and skip to the main points, would you?â
âWellâ, Cole began. âAmidu is the killer but âŚ.â
âWhat?â, Dave said, interrupting him and stood up with a changed countenance. âAre you out of your mind? Why would you say such frivolous thing?â
Cole let out a sigh. He knew Dave wouldnât believe. Actually, no one would, not even him if he was told but he knew what it is. He had seen him, he even ran him over to the point of death but thanks to God, he wasnât dead.
âI know what am saying Daveâ
âSeriously? You know what you saying? By accusing him falsely?â
âIâm not accusing him falsely, Dave!â He shouted as loud as his voice could carry him.
Dave shrugged and heaved a sigh.
âIf youâre not, then I guess you must have an evidence to back your accusationâ
Cole let out a sigh of frustration.
âThatâs the problem, Daveâ, he said. âI do not have any paper work evidence whatsoever, even if I have itâs not substantial enough to build a case against himâ
âOh! You donât have any evidence and youâre falsely accusing him of murder? You must be insane. After all, he is your bossâ
âOur bossâ, Cole corrected.
âI admit but heâs directly your boss because youâre his assistantâ
âI know but you have to believe me Dave.â
âBelieve that fabricated lie?â, Dave ranted with his voice getting edgier. âCole, have you been compromised? Huh?â
âNo Iâm notâ, Cole said in a calm voice trying his best not to also flare up. âJust listen to me. Amidu ran me over with his Jeep which almost got me dead. He attempted to kill me, Daveâ.
Dave chuckled. âAnd you expect me to believe that crap? See, Cole you better come out clean or I find out the truth and Iâll use it strongly against youâ, Dave threatened.
âYou still donât get it, do you?â
âNo, I donât. Maybe you explain betterâ
âPlease, just try to think out of the radius and focus more on the possibilities.â
âOkay, go ahead.â
âLast night, I followed Agent Matt without being detected and ..â
âOh! Youâre now spying on your colleagues?â
âNo, Iâm not. I thought he was dirty and needed to check him out if he was but it turned out he was working on a good cause.â
âOh youâŚâ
âDave please!â, Cole shouted and winced in pain. âAre we friends? or foes?â
âOf course, weâre friendsâ
âWhat are friends for?â, Cole asked.
âTo help each other, of courseâ
âGood, I need you now more than ever. Will you help me?â
âNot until I get evidence to ascertain your assumptionâ
âYou can check the footages covering the area if itâs not intercepted yet and if it is, you spy on themâ
âI canât believe thisâ
âYou have to, because right now, we donât know what heâs planning. Probably, heâs coming back for meâ.
âBut we can report this to the DG. At least, to ensure your safetyâ, Dave said.
âI know but I do not have substantial evidence yet, donât you get it?â
âJust think, think Dave!â, Cole shouted. âDo you recall when we went after the suspects on Malatama road?â
âYes, I do and what does that have to do with this?â, Dave asked with a furrowed eyebrows.
âDo you recall Amidu wasnât with us that night?â
âYes and thatâs because he was off the case, remember?â
âOh!â, Cole looked surprised. âHe was off the case and yet, he reported seeing dead bodies in a taxi car we just finished investigating?â
David seemingly kept quiet. Probably, thinking it over.
âDave tell me, how could he be there at that moment even when itâs clear that he was off the caseâ
âSo you think he killed those people?â, Dave asked inquisitively.
âYes, as much as i donât want to say this but I think he killed those people, he killed the love of my life and dumped them in the backseat of the taxi carâ, Cole said with a teary eyes.
âNo, it could be a coincidenceâ, Dave said pitifully.
âCoincidence my foot!â, Cole retorted. He was visibly angry now.
âCoincidence you say?â
Dave nodded.
âYou know what it is when coincidence becomes two or three?â
âYes, it becomes evidenceâ, Dave said.
âGood, its an evidence Daveâ.
âWait, he hasnât reported to office this morningâ, Dave suddenly said thoughtfully.
âGood, you see what am talking about?â
âYou canât be so sure, Cole. He might go Miaâ
âMia you say? A special agent missing in action? You got to be smart Daveâ
âSo what do you suggest we do?â
âYouâll track him down and if possible, bug him tooâ
âYouâre crazyâ
âYou can say that againâ, Cole said with a smile.
