{Shot and reconcile}

Vanessa pov

The next morning came like no other, the cool morning breeze greeted the room with its presence.

My naked body lieing on Joe who was in a deep sleep, I leaned in closer and kissed his soft lips.

Thinking about yesterday, I couldn’t help but to giggle softly and excitedly at the blissful moment we shared together.

I climbed down from the bed, took one of Joe’s shirt which was big on me and went to the kitchen to get breakfast, I really can’t believe am dating Joe after all the troubles.

He’s just too sweet and caring.

I placed some water on the gas cooker and ignited the fire waiting for the water to get hot so I can make some tea.

“Good morning baby.” Joe said behind me and I turned back to see him with no shirt on.

He looks so damn hot.

“Morning darling.” I replied and walked towards him. “How was your night?” I asked and crossed my hands around his neck.

“It was amazing and yours?” He asked cupping my ass with his hands.

“Mine was great.” I said in form of a moan definitely because of his irresistible touch.

“Hmmm come here.” He carried me upon himself and head for the living room as we both chuckled softly.

I kissed and bit his lips repeatedly as I sat on his lap crossing my legs around his body.

“I love you.” I said to him and he responded with a kiss on my forehead.

“I love you more.” He said. “Baby I have a confession to make.” He said which sounds alarming.

“A confession? What is it about?” I asked ruffling his hair.

“That night when you got raped, I told your sister about it, I thought she would save you because I was too scared, I should have done more.” He replied surprising me.

So Faith knew about everything and yet she played innocence.

This was it, it all started from the beginning, she has betrayed me longer than I thought and now am only curious about one thing.

Why? What did I do to deserve this from my own sister whom I deeply loved.

“Why didn’t you tell me before now?” I asked.

“That’s because I was a coward, I should have done more but I was afraid of Thomas, that I told Faith was an excuse the truth is I was a coward, but not anymore, now I will protect you, I’m sorry and I love you.” He replied and a smile beamed on my face.

“I love you more baby.” I responded.

“And I wanna ask if I can pick Campbell up in school today.” He asked playing with my n*pples.

“Of course you can but why?”

“I want to be close with him he’s really smart and I think we three can just hang out later today.” He stated.

“Hmm… That would be nice I want that too.” I replied and he hugged me more tighter.

“Thank you.”

“You are welcome, that said I need to go home now mom would be really worried.” I said and got off him.

“Ok baby, I will really miss you.” He said cutely.

“I will miss you more.” I said and gave him a quick kiss on his lips.

I freshened up, wore my clothes and drove to my house, where I got dressed and later head to my office.

I kept thinking about what Joe told me, Faith why did she betrayed me, for what reasons…

A loud bang on my door cuts me off, two people entered looking so desperate and it was my mom and dad what would they be doing here?

Chris pov

“Why do you want to see me Mr Chris.” He said to me, this is the Thomas Vanessa has been talking about.

Guess he’s really loaded, I will use the information I have on him to extort as much money as I can get from him.

“Here.” I said and threw the files with me on his desk.

“What’s this?” He asked without checking it.

“You might want to check it.” I replied being impellent.

“Ok.” He said and slowly and took it reluctantly.

“That’s every info Vanessa has on you and even more.” I said and the expression on his face changed in an instant.

“Why are you telling me all this?” He asked, seems like have finally gotten his attention.

“If you want, I can be your informant if you want me to but it comes with a price.” I replied and he scoffed.

“I don’t need your information because I know exactly what I want, Vanessa can go on with her plans for all I care, my real problem is that bastard Joe and I will be sure to end him today.” He replied and stood up from his sit angrily.

“You will end Joe how? What do you mean?”

“Just wait and see.” He replied with a smirk and walked out of his office.

Now this is getting complicated, he will end Joe how? Why?

Faith pov

“I want you to kidnap this boy for me, here is his picture.” I said and showed him Vanessa’s son picture.

“I hope the money will be good like the previous one too.” He said and took the pictures from me, stuffing it in his pocket.

“Yes it will, and even better than the former I will text you his school address I want it done today.” I said and stood up.

“I will get back to you soon ma’am.” He said and I left gladly.

Vanessa you just wait!

Thomas pov

What I heard from that Chris guy today still pisses me off, Vanessa actually has some nerves to have such informations about me.

The next day I drove out of the hotel where have been lodging at for a while now, and drove to Joe’s place.

I parked my car at a side of the road awaiting him to leave his house.

His gate opened wide and it was Vanessa’s car driving out of his compound.

I recognised the car because I have seen it multiple times at her place.

What the hell would Vanessa be doing at his place, my son’s mother, does she know no shame.

She birthed my child and that makes her partially mine.

I need to take this Joe out of the picture.

After hours of waiting he finally drives out of his compound and I followed him, with this devilish thought in my mind.

He drove to Campbell’s school and took him inside his car.

Campbell’s was smiling at him and it disgusts me, my own boy smiling at that traitor.

This is going too far, it’s today, definitely not tomorrow.

I can’t take it anymore.

I followed him till he parked his car at Vanessa company’s car park which was a good enough place for my plan, it was secluded and a blind spot for the security cameras.

He got down with Campbell and I did the same holding my unlicensed private gun which I had purchased for a while.

He carried Campbell upon himself which is giving me a hard time to take the shot at him.

“Damn it!” I shouted angrily, I need to do it now as he is now close to the door.

And I took my shot with my silenced gun.

But the scream I heard was different, it got me curious who did I shoot!

Joe or Campbell.
