He carried me from the bed bridal style to the living room where Mrs joyce was waiting for me. She was shock to see us in that manner, the disgust was written all over her face, if looks could kill I would not be alive today telling you guys this story. She was so angry (it was written all over her face) papa put me down before her and said “Mrs johnson please meet Samantha Steve the woman I am about to get married to. Her shocker became even more bigger because her mouth flew open.

MRS JOYCE: What? Pastor are you seriously telling me you want to marry a second wife? (my love smiled)

PAPA: I didn’t mention a second wife Mrs johnson, I only introduce my fiancée to you. (she agape)

MRS JOYCE: I’m sorry, sir I wish you best of luck.

I could swear she was please, she looks at me with disdain and shake her head, I guess she was feeling sorry for me.

SAM: Please ma follow me to the kitchen.
She nodded her head and followed me, I show her all the things I wanted her to take. The turn to leave.

MRS JOYCE: Excuse me my daughter, you are a very nice girl, respectful and beautiful why do you want to be a second wife? That man has a wife dear.

I smiled, if only she knew she would be feeling sorry for him instead of backbiting him.

SAM: I know ma I just love him and I know it’s God’s will for us. She shake her head in pity for me but I didn’t care I just went back into papa’s room. When she was done arranging everything, she came and knocked at papa’s door.

MRS JOYCE: I’m through with it my daughter, I want to take my leave now.

I opened the door and came outside, papa too follow suit, he was going to the kitchen to make coffee for himself. He stopped mid-way and turn to Mrs johnson as he likes to address her “Mrs johnson our invite isn’t ready yet, but we be so glad if you can make it to our wedding” he said before entering the kitchen. I could see scorn in her eyes. She just faked it with a smile. She thanked me and then left. I went to the kitchen to meet my baby, I sat on the stool close to the kitchen door.

SAM: That wasn’t necessary and you know it.

PAPA: What? Telling her to are my fiancée or what?

SAM: Yes (not smiling)

PAPA: Common baby, I’m not ashamed to show the world how much I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. So it’s best if thet start getting use to it because very soon you will be Mrs Peter. (I couldn’t help but giggle)

SAM: I’m so Hungary baby.
