Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 35
Closing the book on February had been rough, especially with the whole Evan situation but I was glad that March was well underway. Evan had disappeared, just like I had predicted would happen knowing that he didn’t have anything against Drew anymore. She had beat him and it had naturally sent him over the edge. Now that he was gone we were trying our best to kill the evil thoughts he had planted in our minds. There was a lot to sort through, at least for Drew, but I was going to stand by her side until she healed completely.
Although I knew it could take some time I was more than willing.
Mid-March my dad had brought me good news whenever he called me up unexpectedly. I had been overly excited to hear from him, and what he had to say was even better.
“Bree, we miss you,” the sound of his voice making me miss him even more.
I smiled, “I miss you and mom. How is everything?”
“Great, still cold, but great. I was calling to deliver some good news.”
I joked, “That’s great cause I really need some.”
He chuckled, “The dance studio is almost finished, they’ll be done by the end of the month. I’m more than happy to help you get it started, and everyone around town is eager to see it open back up in the fall.”
My heart fluttered at the thought of reopening my old studio. I was more than ready to start teaching on my own terms.
I sighed in relief, “My internship ends at the end of April so I’ll start looking to move back around that time… Maybe May.”
“Now I need to ask, do you need help finding teachers?”
A few familiar faces popped up into my head, causing my smile to grow, “I actually already have a few people in mind, but if I do I’ll let you know.”
“That’s good to hear, alright I have to go. Your mom needs me. Love you.”
I responded softly, “Love you too dad.”
That conversation had been exactly two weeks ago, and now that the end of March was approaching so was Easter. I was excited to spend the holiday weekend at my parent’s place, but this time would be different. Not only would it be me and Jada, but I was planning on bringing Drew as well.
Of course she had been nervous when I had initially sprung the idea into her, but after we talked about it she seemed to loosen up. We had been official for nearly three months now, which didn’t seem like a long time but leaving her behind this holiday didn’t seem right to me. I wanted her there, I wanted her to meet my family, and I knew that my family also wanted to meet her. The only thing we needed to do was break the ice between her and Jada, which was something we both were a little on edge about.
But I knew if everything went well between the two then the rest of my family would be a piece of cake.
I heard Jada call from the kitchen, pulling my attention away from my laptop, “So, found any apartments yet?”
I shook my head, “No, but I figured more would open up around summer. Why?” I paused, deciding to tease her, “Looking to move back to Philly with me? Mike probably wouldn’t mind.”
She smirked, shaking her head, “Maybe, only because the distance is straining our relationship.”
I rolled my eyes, “So it’s not because you would miss me?”
“No, not at all.”
I scoffed at her.
She teased back, “Of course I’d miss you, idiot.”
