Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 30

As I pretended to lost balance… Rita was affected as she stumbled a little because she was behind me…. Not giving her a chance to get back on her feet, I turned sharply and gripped her right hand trying to wrestle the gun from her hand

She retaliated by hitting my wounded shoulder with her left hand

I screamed in pain but didn’t let go of her hand…. We both lost balance in our struggle and fell down rolling down the staircase

It wasn’t easy… I felt like I was going to faint each time my head banged the stairs….

We landed at the button of the stairs still locked with each other

We both fought for the gun as if our lives depended on it

Rita scratched… Punched even bit me but I didn’t release my grip….

Somehow… Unexpectedly someone…either Rita or me…I didn’t know…. Pulled the trigger and a bullet was fired

At first,

I thought it hit Mr but then I felt no pain,

I stood up and snatched the gun from Rita’s hand as she lay on the floor bleeding… The bullet hit her on her waist…..

She screamed in pain

“Am bleeding!!!

Am gonna die”

I shouted back at her in anger and rage

“Shut the f–k up B—H!!!

I don’t give a fucl whether you die or not

Now….”I said stretching my hand forward to her

“HAND OVER BACK MY NECKLACE

YOU S–T!”

I opened my eyes slowly and groaned… My head was throbbing in pain…

I rose gently from the bed and saw that I was receiving drip….

I didn’t remember what happened for a long time until my PA entered looking grim and sad

Then I remembered

The fire

The building

ANITA!

GOD!

MY WIFE”

Mr gbadegesin blinked twice before breaking the bad news

“Sir…

Nobody survived it

We found the bodies of the security men…because they were outside

But…your wife Sir

Your wife…

She was inside the building….

Nothi…. Nothing survived the heat

Everything was in ashes

Including… Including… Including…”

He couldn’t complete his statement as he cleaned his eyes with his handkerchief

I couldn’t believe it

Everything sounded unbelievable

No!

My rabbit isn’t dead!

My rabbit isn’t gone!

I pulled the needle out of my body and said

“I must find her

Even if it’s her ashes”

Before my PA could stop me….I jumped out of the bed and ran away…….. To find Anita and tell her that….
