Lukas Laurel walked into Raymond Maxson’s office. “Chief, it seems THE ROASTER is back again. He has killed a female student of Mountain life school this morning”.

Raymond rose to his feet impatiently. “Mountain life school?”. Mountain life school was the school that Katie was studying in.

There used to be a serial killer from three years back.

He roasted girls.

Girls between the ages, ‘Sixteen to nineteen’.

Now THE ROASTER was back.

As I researched about Steve Austin, I found out that he had a chemist store.

A chemist store was not like a phamaceutical store that sold only medicine.

In a chemist store, you could find provisions, sanitary pads, condoms and drugs.

I noticed that his store was not even in a strategic point.

It was obviously a facade.

Why did Steve Austin open a chemist store?

As I waited in my car and watched his store for hours, Clara appeared from nowhere and walked into the store.

Thank God that I was patient.

If Clara was there, probably she had a message from Nathan.

I had to act fast.

Raymond had given me a bugging device in case I wanted to secretly extract information from criminals.

He was busy at work because of the trending serial killing case…THE ROASTER.

I rushed out of my car immediately I noticed that a boy heading towards the chemist store. “Fine boy, are you going to get something there?”.

“Yes”. The seventeen year old replied.

I folded five thousand naira notes into his hand and gave him the bugging device. “Can you help me put this bugging device in the shop? Make sure they don’t see you when you are placing it on any surface in the shop and if you succeed, I will give you more when you come out”.

Dominic visited Ryan at the hospital.

Mirabel had beaten him up to the point that he was hospitalized after he had claimed that Raymond had killed Arnold.

“Don’t you ever use the death of my brother to make jokes!”. She had fired at him.

Dominic dropped the food she had brought for him on the table and frowned slightly.

Ryan rolled his eyes. “Are you not going to ask me how I am feeling?”.

Dominic glared at him. “I am only here because you were once my friend”.

“You are only here because you are the only one that love me in this world and you understand me the most despite how cruel I have been to you”.

“You nearly ruined the case Raymond was working on to protect my sister’s name and you claim that you loved her?”.

“I crushed on her. A big crush that I had mistook for love”.

She made eyes at him. “Sit up and eat your food”.

He groaned. “Are you not going to help me up?”.

“You can lie there and wait for your servant to help you up”.

He winced as he sat up on the bed. “That stupid Mirabel is a man”.

“… thank God you know that you are a woman”. She rolled her eyes as she placed the flask on a stool beside the sick bed that he was sitting on.

He opened his mouth.

She made eyes at him. “You think I have any intention of feeding you? Feed yourself”.

He sighed. “You remember those days that I used to fall sick at school? You were always with me at the sick bay”.

She avoided his eyes. “You were always with me too when I was sick. You had taken a blame for me that day I had mistakenly poured water on one of the library books and you were punished for me”.

He swallowed and nodded as he struggled to eat his food. “Thanks for loving someone like me, Dominic”.

“Thank God you know that you are very irresponsible”. She snatched the food from him and fed him.

“… because you were always very available, I had taken you for granted…but when I thought of you and that doctor truly falling in love at the end because of my mistake and how it would have hurt me so much, I knew that you were the one I truly loved because you were the one I knew. Can we go back to those good old times, Dominic?”.

I listened to the conversation that STEVE AUSTIN was having with Clara.

I had to find out what she had come to tell him.

Clara: Big bro, I need money.

Steve Austin: For what?

Clara: My sweetheart is broke and he has only been taking cornflakes for the past two months now. I have to restock his fridge.

Steve Austin: How long will you keep tasking me because of that idiot?

Clara: You have always been so reliable because of me”.

Steve Austin: I took the greatest risk by that feigned accident.

Clara: Gretta is an abomination. Everyone thinks that she was a good person before she died, especially that stupid ex-convict.

Steve Austin: Rosa Harrison?

Clara: No one is pointing fingers at her again.

Steve Austin: We have to find that thing that Arnold had hidden.

Clara: The two pages and secret camera.

Steve Austin: Gretta’s secret camera. Stupid girl.

Clara: What’s your plan?

Steve Austin: I want to attack Raymond Maxson emotionally.

Clara: How?

Steve Austin: Someone will come and buy Felvin and sanitary pad from here in less than fifteen seconds right now. Yeah, here she comes.

(Footsteps)

Steve Austin: Katie, how is your stomach now?

Katie: Not any better. I thought you told me that, that liquid will help matters but it got worse, you wack.

Clara: Can you come over here and lie on this bed?

Steve Austin chuckled. “Clara, can you sing the second stanza of twinkle, twinkle Little Star?

Clara: Why not?

When the blazing sun is gone

When he nothing shines upon

Clara: (giggles) She is already asleep.

Steve Austin: You injected her?

Clara: Why not? When the blazing sun is gone, you can start business.

Steve Austin: (giggles) Then I will show my little light…(clicks on something that sounded like a lighter.

Clara: (bursts into laughter) Fire! Roast the meat tonight!!!

Steve Austin: Roasting twinkle…all the night.

(They burst into laughter).

Just immediately, Raymond sent me via email, the full gist about Steve Austin.

Steve Austin was Clara’s father’s illegitimate son, but he had acquired an inheritance from his stepfather.

It said it all.

Steve Austin was never poor and Nathan never helped him in prison.

He had helped himself and even helped Nathan all because of his step sister.

Not just that, Steve Austin had killed Nathan’s son based on Nathan’s instruction.

But why will Nathan kill his son?

Something was suspicious.

Now the matter on ground was that THE ROASTER, the serial killer that Raymond Maxson had been searching for years was Steve Austin all these while.

Everything was connected.

Now, Steve Austin wanted to emotionally attack Raymond by killing his sister.
