I became so happy the moment i saw the alert message……. I dialed nancy’s number and she picked up.

Me: baby, i dont know what to say, dont u think the money is too much for me?? 5000 Libya dinar.

Nancy: nothing is too much for my love. 5000 Libya dinar is not much. I wish i could even give u more.

Me: baby, thank u so much. I love u.

Nancy: me too……. Back to business, so what’sup about our rehearsal?

Me: emmm, tomorrow 5pm after lectures.

She dropped the call. ”What am i gonna buy, food first and cloths comes next”. I said to myself.

I was still in the house when alves came into the hand with a black nylon. He threw the nylon to me…….

Me: guy, what’s inside this nylon.

I gently opened the the nylon because alves was the kind that enjoys playing pranks with people. ”Wow, guy what’sup with this, where did u get it from, who gave it to u and why?? I asked.

Alves: surprised buh this is the money, i did what u asked me to do.

Me: did what????? I didn’t asked u to do anything…….Heheheh, wait a min , i hope u didn’t do what am thinking?

Alves: i did it.

Me: s–t buh guy why. Why did u have to break into someone’s house.

Alves: hey mehn, i didn’t do that, why would i do such an evil act? Dont u know that here in Libya, such act is directly proportional to PRISON.

Me: then what did u do to get the money. That a whole lots of money we re talking about here.

Me: hey nigga stop. Lets go for shopping first

Alves: sad face ok bro.

We went for shopping, i brought all the stuffs i need. Out of the 5000 Libya dinar Nancy gave to me, i spent only 20 Libya dinar leaving the other cool cash to sleep in my bank account. ”Hey bro, won’t u buy anything” i said to alves who was starring quietly at me.

Alves: moody reply no bro i dont feel likebuying anything.

After the shopping, i looked at my watch , the time was already 4pm and we need to be at the hall by 5pm, so we quicken every single step we march…

I dropped everything we bought at home and left for the rehearsal ground. When we got there, we were shocked to hear that the other girls that were in our group has been found guilty of a crime they committed, which made them to be eliminated from the group. The three of us started the rehearsal, buh along the line, alves loss concentration.

Me : alves, what’s wrong. U have been like this since we got back from shopping.

Alves: teary eyes i can’t anymore, i can’t…….

Me: u can’t do what any more?

Alves: i have betrayed a brother. I did what i thought was right for him.

Me: if u did what ever u do to help him, then u re not wrong…… Cheer up bro.

I was still trying to console him when he ran off from the hall . ”Alves, alves , alves” i shouted buh he didn’t turn back…

”Baby is ok” Nancy said touching my shoulder. ” i have betrayed a brother” alves voice kept fighting in my head.

The Great graduation/ talent hunt was just remaining 24hrs, almost all the group had rounded off their music. Buh ours wasn’t real because the the complications we had.
Two of our members eliminated, alves missing. ”What re we to do” i kept asking Nancy and was already lost…….

Nancy: how i wished alves was here, he could have do the singing. So u mean he hasn’t come home after our last rehearsal.
