Finally the day of the Art show is here.. It sure is going to be quite a event cause lots of high class people were here…

And as it turns out, There was going to be an auction on the Artworks there and I know a lot of people will bid high amounts of money of the masterpiece on display tonight..

Mr. Antonio Gomez, a gifted and talented painter was at the event.. He was the one whom told him about Ben’s art work.. And the only one with me was the one, he painted of me..

So the night before the show… Mr. Antonio Gomez and I met and I showed him Ben’s work.. He was blown away by it…

Mr. Antonio Marvelleux.. This eez amazing… It’s beautiful.. What flare.. This painter sure haz ze flow.

Miranda So you like it..?

Antonio of course.. Senorita… It’s breathtaking.. This painter must be in love with you to paint you this good. Where is he?

Miranda Well… He’s not available at the moment.. I can’t get hold of him…

Antonio Okay.. If you do, I need to talk to him.. You could earn millions with this.. I suggest you put this masterpiece on the art show tomorrow..

Miranda I don’t know..

Antonio Don’t worry… People will love it.. Trust me.

And that’s was my painting got into the Art show and true to Antonio’s words, people were amazed by it.. People gathered around my painting whispering to themselves about it.. Some even recognized me saying, it was my picture that trended a few weeks ago..

Luckily for me, I didn’t have to come to the Art show alone cause I was accompanied by Mom, Jim and Tina.. They too were surprised when they saw my painting on display..

Tina Miranda, that’s you o.. Who painted you?

Miranda It was Ben..

Vanessa Ahh, you look so beautiful.. Just look at how lovely you are in the painting.. Too bad he isn’t here to see his work getting so much compliments..

Jim Aren’t you going to call him?

Miranda My phone is toast, I’ll be going to Lagos tomorrow to see him.

Vanessa That’s my girl.. I’ll accompany you if you want..

Miranda No mom.. I’ll go alone.

As we went around looking at pictures.. I clashed with Carol and her husband, Alex, Man.. She looked so lovely.. She wore a silk coffee gown and a diamond necklace on her neck.. She was so breathtaking, i realised she was with another white woman like her.. Maybe her sister or friend.. So I walked up to her and exchanged pleasantries.

Miranda Hi Carol…

Carol Oh my God.. Miranda, its so good to see you.. You look fantastic..

Miranda You too, how’s the kids?

Carol they’re fine..

Aunt Nicole Caroline who’s this lovely lady?

Carol Mom, meet Miranda.. Miranda this is my aunt, Nicole.

We then began to talk and walk around the art show.. When they saw my picture, They too were mesmerized by it.. Just before we could go and see some other art work.. We came face to face with Ben and his friend with another familiar face..

Miranda Ben?

Carol So this is the Ben you’re talking about?

Johnson Wait o.. Isn’t she the one who’s picture was on the net? Can’t believe I’m seeing her..

Today is the day, I go Abuja, I had already packed my things and was ready to go.. I told my parents about the journey and they wished my a safe journey..

My parents had finally changed their views about Miranda when they saw in the news that her picture was secretly leaked by Olivia.. But they didn’t know I had a biff with her..

Another surprising thing happened that caught my attention .. For some time, Cindy wasn’t disturbing me like she previously did.. No more midnight prayers and shouts and no more midnight s*xual escapades from men.. At first I thought she was doing her Ashawo stuff outside but I was wrong..

Cindy had changed, she was now calm and different from the Cindy I knew.. Her whole personality had changed over night.. She was no longer pining on me like she used to.. She would just greet and pass.. Nothing more..

Believe me.. I was so surprised I couldn’t say anything.. The only question in my mind was What had happened to her?

Well, that’s good for her.. Her parents were no longer disturbing me about marrying their daughter.. In fact, they don’t even notice or ask of me anymore.. It was like I never existed..

Well, I didn’t care what they did.. As long as they stop disturbing me.. Its fine by me.. Just hours before I could travel.. Willis came to me house asking me if he could tag along..

Ben Why you wan follow me go Abuja?

Willis Guy, I don tire.. Besides nothing dey happen for Lagos, so i wan follow you go..

Ben You know get work… In fact you ask Evelyn self?

Willis I don tell am already say I wan follow you and she agree..

Ben But I no get enough money for the both of us.. How you go take do?

Willis No worry, I get my money..

Ben (sighs) Okay.. Tomorrow we go leave.. No waste time.

The next day early in the morning .. We got ready and hit the road for the motor park.. As we stood on the road waiting for a taxi.. A Black jeep stopped in front of us.. Sooner after that.. A bulky man walked out and opened the door.. As we checked inside.. I saw that Kate lady.. Whom I met a few weeks ago.

Kate Hey Ben.. How’s it been?

Ben I’m fine.. You?

Kate I’m fine.. I’m traveling to Abuja for an art show.. That’s taking place tonight.. You?

Ben What a coincidence.. We’re heading there as well..

Kate Wow.. So do you have any ride?

Ben We’re going to the motor park to board one..

Kate What a waste of time and money.. Hop in.. Let me take you..

Ben Thanks but.. We don’t want to be..

Kate I insist.. Besides.. This car is more comfortable than squeezing your asses inside those tin cans.. Get in..

To be honest.. I wasn’t going to enter but Willis made the move before I could tell her my answer.. I had no choice but to get in and let’s face facts here.. What Kate said was definitely true.. Going to the motor park was a waste of time and money and her car was much more better than the ones over there.

So I entered the car and we drove straight to Abuja.. Kate and I sat at the back while Willis sat on the front.. He sat comfortably like he is the owner of the car.. Some people ehn..

Suddenly, the car turned left heading to the direction of the Airport.. The road going to Abuja was right.. I had to ask just what was going on.

Ben What’s happening here? The road to Abuja is that way..

Kate I know, Relax.. We’re just taking a little detour..

Ben To where exactly?

Kate The airport.

I didn’t say anything after that, I just kept quiet to see what would happen next.. Minutes later we arrived at the Airport.. We drove straight to a place where we saw a private jet parked… The car stopped and we all got out.. Our luggage was packed by the driver into the plane.. I had to ask Kate was what happening because it was just all to good to be true.

Ben What’s going on?

Kate We’re going to Abuja..

Ben I thought we were using the car..

Kate no.. We’re just my jet, let’s go in..

Kate walked away as she headed for the Jet, as for Willis.. The idiot was busy taking selfie together with him and the plane..

Willis Oboi.. My babes go run mad.. See life o.. For the first time.. I go enter get go Abuja.. Guy who be this woman..

Ben Abeg dey go..

Willis If I be you ehn.. I go marry this lady..

Ben Guy leave me jor.. Behave yourself nah.

We got into the plane and as it turns out, we weren’t alone.. Inside the plane was a guy and a lady together with two small kids.. We took our seats and Kate introduced us to them.

Kate Ben.. This is Johnson and Cynthia.. Johnny boy, Cynthia.. This is Ben.. A guy I met at the bar..

Ben Nice to meet you both.

Johnson Pleasure is all mine..

Kate So you guys have finally returned from your honeymoon?

Cynthia Yes, but Johnson insisted we spent some time Abuja..

Kate Well, you’re lucky.. That’s where we’re all heading.

Well, I don’t know what’s going on but there’s something going on between Kate and Johnson.. Well who cares..

Minutes later, the plane took off and we were high in the skies above.. I couldn’t help but lookout through the windows to watch the skies floating around us.. A while later, The plane hostess served us with some delicious food and drinks.. Though I wouldn’t admit it.. I was glad I came along for the ride..

2 hours later, we arrives in Abuja and as the plane landed, a car was already waiting for us.. The car drove us to an exclusive hotel in Abuja, Kate had gotten a room for each of us.. It was sure good to have Money, I love seeing people enjoy themselves when they have real money not someone who has it and doesn’t know who to use it..

Later in the evening.. We all got dressed and headed out for the art show.. There was quite a lot of crowds and most of them were ballers.. As we went around the place seeing amazing paintings and at work.. I came across mine.. The one I painted for Miranda.. So she had put it in the show and a lot of people had gathered around it..

Willis Guy isn’t that Miranda?

Kate Wow.. That painting is lovely.. Who painted this?

Ben I did..

Kate Wow.. It’s amazing.. So breathtaking.. Looks like there’s an auction going on.. I’ll buy it..

Ben Why..

Kate Because I like it.. You can paint another one but this one is mine..

And as it turns out, Kate wasn’t the only one with that idea.. Quite a number od people were talking about buying my portrait.

Just as we were standing there looking at the artworks nearby, I saw Miranda, her family and some white women..

We stood for a while watching each other.. After we had all call out on to each other, we all met and exchanged Pleasantries..

Miranda and I had to excuse ourselves so we could talk privately..

Miranda I didn’t know you would come..

Ben Well, its funny because I knew you would.. I see you’ve put the painting on display..

Miranda Yeah.. Your painting is getting some attention.

Ben It. Should.. The subject is worth looking at. I tried calling you.. But you weren’t answering.

Miranda My phone was smashes by some kid.. Look i’m sorry about what happened, I should have trusted you more.. I just found our the truth some days ago.. This was all Olivia’s doing.

Ben It’s okay.. I should have told you about Gina.. I’m sorry for putting your mind in that hurting situation.

Miranda So we’re back together now?

Ben (laughs) What are you talking about ? We’re already together.. We never broke up.

Miranda But you walked away saying you’re done..

Ben No.. I left because you couldn’t forgive me for something I didn’t do.. I never said anything about a breakup..

I knelt down on one knee and brought out that ring that Evelyn helped me choose.. Miranda froze as she saw the ring.. I saw tears gather in her eyes.. I took a deep breath and proposed to her..

Ben Miranda queen.. Will you be my..

Miranda Yes..

Ben But I haven’t finished..

Miranda I don’t have time to wait for that.. My answer is yes.. I will be your wife..

Ben do you know how many times I’ve practised this proposal.. It’s supposed to be romantic…

Miranda Who cares.. Just kiss me already.

Miranda was right.. Who cares.. All that mattered was her answer.. After I put the ring in her finger, i stood up and pulled her close to me as we kissed romantically.. What we didn’t know what that our friends were looking at us.. While we were kissing.

A while later, Ben and Miranda with their friends gather around as they heard that the auction had began.. A lot of bid was made for art works but Miranda’s painting was the center of Attention.. Lots of people made bids to get the picture especially.. Kate and Carol.

Auctioneer Okay.. Now let’s hear it for this lovely painting..

Man 3 million.

Woman 4 million

Kate Peasants…. 10 million.

Carol (laughs) What’s that? You call that a bid.. 15 million.

Kate Oh yeah? 20 million.

Johnson NAWA OH…

Ben unbelievable..

Carol 30 million..

Miranda Carol.. That’s too much..

Alex Don’t try talking her out it.. She won’t listen.. When she wants something, she gets it.. Trust me.. I know.

That’s how Carol and Kate continue bidding and bidding.. Until they were out bidded by Aunt Nicole..

Auctioneer We have a buyer… SOLD.

Ben Isn’t that too expensive..

Aunt Nicole Trust me my boy.. I’ll get a dozen more of that money when I sell it back home in England.

Kate Ben, you have to paint another one for me.. But this time paint me..

Alex I’d like to have a painting of my Carol as well..

Ben Sure but before that.. Miranda and I need some time to ourselves..

After a while.. Everyone goes away to their houses.. Ben and Miranda decides to spend the night together at her house.. As soon as they get to Miranda’s house.. They begin to make love.. Ben too no longer worked at Evelyn’s Photoshop, thanks to his wife, He had gotten a much more better job taking pictures for modeling companies and also getting paid for his paintings..

His friend Willis was now Tina’s P. A and he was quite good at it.. As time when on He and Tina began to get fond of each other and started a romantic Relationship.

As for Olivia, after sustaining a serious injury on her face, she tried plastic surgery to fix up her face but instead it made this worst.. And because of that her career as a model ended miserably.

Though they weren’t close to each other, Kate kept into touch with Miranda and Ben,… Sometimes visiting each other on daily basis..

In the End.. Life turned out good for everyone.. Except for Olivia maybe .

Just like Ben said.. A Photograph is like a fantasy, everything in it is so perfect but sometimes.. With a little bit a faith and hope.. Fantasies do come true..
