Osita has forgotten that he was standing directly under a ceiling fan which was turning with great speed.
He only realised this when it was too late. The sharp blade has left a deep wound not only on their son but also in their heart.
Chibuogwum just looked at the blood splashed all over her body and then slowly he looked at the lifeless body in her husband’s hands.
Thinking it was a bad dream but realised it wasn’t when she moved closer and saw the look of horror on Chinaegbomkpam’s face.
He died a painful death. Osita himself was speechless. He just held to his son as if he will bring him back to life.
Like a movie, Chibuogwum shouted sorrowfully and ran out into the street. Her joy was no more. Osita just slumped and pass out only to wake up in the hospital mad. All effort made to bring the couple back to sanity proved abortive.
Two weeks later, Osita kicked the bucket while his wife followed several minutes later
