Episode 3

My birthday was closeby, i kept announcing it to hillary and chidi. The day finally came, my parents didnt even know it was my birthday and i didnt even borther to tell them. Hillary sang a birthday song for me and chidi promised to take me out but unfortunately failed me that day explaining to me that he was so occupied that day. I wasn’t happy at all, they came as usual in the night to carry thier bags. I was already filled with anger, i was about to go when chidi called me to come.
When i went to meet him, he drew me closer and hugged me. I just frozed where i was because i haven’t hugged a guy before and with the people starring at us was a disaster to me, i was not only shy but was also ashamed but i falling for this guy and i couldnt tell him.

Chidi: shantel, are u shy? This is your birthday you know or should i peck you?

Me: noo, this one is okay
then i disentangled myself from him and when i turned, hillary was just inside thier car looking at us like he is watching a movie. I just ignored him and went home.

3 days later chidi fixed a date for us to meet at a fastfood, i closed very early to meet him there. We talked about a lot of things then i realised he had been holding my hand all through but he spoiled everything when he said he has a girlfriend, i was heartbroken but i dare not show it
