Episode 9

the next day i went to see chidi at the hospital, when i got there i saw a young lady that should be at her early twenties, light skinned and very beautiful i must say. I realised she was chidi’s girlfriend. She was sitting down by chidi, who was still in coma. I approached chidi’s bed.

Me: good day

chidi’s girl: hello, how can i help you

me: i am shantel, i actually came here to see chidi

chidi’s girl: really, so who are you to him?

Me: (smiled) i am his friend. I guess you are his girlfriend

chidi’s girl: yh, she replied with a straight face. I heard he got shot instead of someone.

Me: he will get well soon
we were silent until i heard someone call my name “shantel” behold it was chidi, he has woken up, i ran to call the doctor, the doctor followed me behind. The doctor came and examined him, the doctor said he will get well soon. The doctor left. Chidi looked at me and his girlfriend, i could tell his suprise seeing the both of us.

Me: how are you feeling now?

Chidi: fine shantel, i hope you didnt get injured

me: we should be talking about how u are going to get well.

Chidi: (looking at his girlfriend) baby how you doing?

Chidi’s girl: who has been looking at the both of us) am fine sweethrt, how did this happen to you!

Chidi: not to worry baby, it was just an accident

chidi’s girl: sweethrt pleases dont scare me like this again o, i thought i was going to lose you

chidi; dont worry baby, i wont, you know i love you

chidi’s girl: smiled, i love you too dear

chidi: (turned towards me) shantel meet sonia, my girlfriend i told you about

me: ok, sonia its a pleasure meeting you

sonia: me too

me: chidi, i think i have to go now, i will see you later

i left the hospital with a confused mind. I could tell my love life was in a confused and complicated state.
