“It’s been six weeks after the whole incident with Nathan, I refused to go to florida with him, before he even left L.A I was keeping my distance, didn’t really know how to face him, he was supposed to come back four weeks ago, I don’t really know what is going on with him, and nobody is telling me anything, my phone rang interrupting my thoughts

Nkem: bro
Derrick: how are you doing
Nkem: am good, how is Mrs mell doing
Derrick: she is fine, today is her monthly check-up

Nkem: but she is still responding to treatment right?

Derrick: yeah
Nkem: bro
Derrick: yeah?
Nkem: can I ask you something?
Derrick: shoot

Nkem: is there anything I don’t know about nath?

Derrick: why do you think there is something you don’t know

Nkem: am having this weird feeling that something is wrong, he’s been away for six weeks and his numbers are not going through, nobody is telling me anything
Derrick: baby, don’t ever call that number again till he gets back

Nkem: not good enough
Derrick: just listen to me for once
Nkem: I need an explanation first
Derrick: I think they got him again
Nkem: you are making zero sense
Derrick: Nathan was part of a gang back in college

Nkem: get this straight, we are talking about Nathan not luke

Nkem: I don’t understand why would he ever do that

Derrick: Nathan was a bad boy, or should I use “is”.I never believed he joined them willingly though, but he insisted he did, when he wanted out,they told him to carry out one last job, I told him they left him for a reason, they are never done with you till you die
Nkem: this is too much info to digest, so you think they got him

Derrick: that explains why no one is saying anything, ok, now listen to me carefully, don’t ever leave that house for any reason till he comes back

Nkem: why not
Derrick: if he is taking so long it means he has refused to do whatever they assigned to him and it won’t take them so long to find you out

Nkem: I haven’t done anything wrong here
Derrick: they are going to use you against him
Nkem: i think Cedric is the best candidate for that

Derrick: you will never know, just stay in doors
Nkem: I can only do that today and tomorrow, am going to school on monday
Derrick: just listen to me for once
Nkem: sobbingthis is so much to digest am already sad as it is, who knows he might be dead already

Derrick: don’t worry about that, he is smart, he always finds a way out
Nkem: what if there is no way out this time around

Derrick: there is always a way out for nathan, is this you just being you, or is there something you think I need to know
Nkem: no, it’s just me

Derrick: good just relax, nathan will be home soon

Nkem: I hope so
Derrick: take care
Nkem: you too.

“He is so calm, if a gang got his friend he should be freaking out, unless they are used to this s–t, Nathan’s mum is so calm about this whole situation, why am I the only one freaking out around here.
