ONE YEAR LATER

The movie ” broken ” was a great one, I enjoy the movie myself it was like I hadn’t written that play myself the way Frederick showed me love in the movie it made me to completely fall in love with him. Immediately the movie came out mercy who also took a role in the movie suggested we sell it to the cinema and make real cash first before they start to pirates the movie. We did as she said and trust me it sold so beautifully well. My studies was on hold all that time I was in USA shooting and when I returned back I was so busy going to one interview or the other with Freddie. It was on one of this occasion that Freddie begged me to follow him home but I came with my own car I didn’t know what to do with my car he suggested I drove in mine while he drove in his…”perfect idea” I told him, I entered my car and he entered his and we drove to his house.

The gate man was so happy to see me after that fight I had with Brenda( where the hell is she self? I don’t know and don’t care either) he welcomed me into his home offered me a drink. We sat down on the same couch gisting and laughing then after some time he moved closer to me and stare at me hardly.

LESLEY
What’s on my face, you staring too hard

FREDERICK
( He smiled) I’m sorry Les, there’s something I want to discuss with you.

LESLEY
What is it Freddie, are you okay ( I asked with concern)

FREDERICK
I know you think I’m a play boy, a viper as the ladies call me and I’m not cable to love( he pause to bite his lower lip) no woman has ever resisted me, they all want a fine and romantic man, you are young, very young but different I have met girls who ain’t even up to your age but wanted me to date them….you hated me for what others see and fall in love, we have slept together countless of times and you never tried for once to s£duce me….Lesley honesty I fell in love with you without realizing it….I kept it to myself because you were just 19 years then, was scared you might think I just wanna use you…now that you are 21 of age I can’t wait no longer….I’m in love with you
My tears dropped, the man sitting beside me has been my crush for three years now, I never thought he would ever feel what I felt….my heart started to beat fast and so did my tears flow.

FREDERICK

LESLEY
Stupid, idiot ( still crying) why did it take you so long to tell me this( I sniffed) i…I love you too all I did was crush on you but ” flower” that was when it turned into love.

FREDERICK
( He smiled and held my checks) today I’m going to kiss you from my heart and soul, not because I’m asked to but because I love you.
I smiled and cried at the same time, I was so happy and prayed in my heart I wasn’t dreaming. Slowly he lowered his lips and kissed me passionately and I kissed back.

TWO MOUTH LATER
I decided to go back to my father’s land and rebuild his hut house that AMAKA once mocked me about, Freddie decided to come with me…mercy was so happy when I told her about Freddie and I. Freddie and I spent two weeks in my father’s house before we returned back to the city but I paid some labourers to be working for us.. During my stay In the village I met AMAKA twice and guess what she was a mother of two kids already and was heavily pregnant with another one..when she saw me she wasn’t surprise I guess my frame has got to them in the village because they now treated me with respect.

AMAKA
All that glitter is not gold, I thought my beauty and a-s would take me to places but here I am a mother of two and expecting the third.

LESLEY
Its a pity my dear, but where is the father of your kids?

AMAKA
I don’t know, you remember that time some film people came here? ( I nodded telling her to go on) I slept with almost all the guys, it was when they left that I discovered I was pregnant with my first child.

LESLEY
Oh my God… So what of your second child and this one?

AMAKA
Different fathers too and I don’t know them.( she said crying)

LESLEY
Don’t cry, at least you have learn from your mistake. Before I leave you should pay me a visit okay?

AMAKA
Thanks…I will try.
I gave her and her kids a 100 thousand before Freddie and I return back to the city.
Director Uche who once told me too ” your a-s is what will take you there” is now begging me to act for him( isn’t this God great) well I hold nothing against him it just that I’m still busy shooting movies that pays me well and when I’m done with that and my studies I might consider him.

My relationship with Freddie has been going smoothly he said no sex till after marriage ( I will soon be Mrs Frederick Leonard hahaha) And that made me love him the more
I’m so happy and thankful to God who brought me this far and making mercy to love me unconditionally she’s the best one could or can ever have as a sister.
