Imi’s POV
I looked up to see his handsome face.
I gulped at what am about to say. “I love you too Enita.” I bit my lips hard. So hard.
Wow! Believe me or not, I don’t know where I got the courage to say those words in front of him.
Yeah, I find myself loving him back. I know he’s not gonna disappoint me in anyway.
I truly love him. With all my heart.
Enita’s POV
Eh! Tell me am hearing double. I grinned like a fool and stopped.
“Can you say that again?” I finally said.
She glanced up and repeated that same words.
“I love you too Enita” She looked away shyly.
I felt like flying but I can’t do that. Maybe a crazy dance will do.
I stepped back and start to dance, shaking my butt and spreading my hands out.
My heart was beating like a drum. ‘Tam bum bum tam’
“Can you stop that? It making me feel awkward. People are watching us” Mimi said , but I didn’t stop dancing.
I can’t remeber when last I danced like this.
“Mimi, you just made blessed my day, in fact, I don’t know what to say. Am vey happy right now. Come, momma will be so happy to hear about this” I laughed happily, dragging her close to the canteen.
“You told your mom about us?” She asked.
“Yeah, she won’t mind been her daughter in law. She will be so happy.” I squealed.
I got to my mom who was busy do in some chores while Brume was busy sweeping around the canteen.
I got to mom and called for her attention. She stood up and lighten up when she saw Mimi with me.
She gave me a wink which I returned with a smile.
“What’s it son? It like you have good news for me” She said.
“Maybe Aunt Mimi has finally agreed to marry him” Brume chipped in.
“Tag! Shut up there! Who ask for your contribution? Just continue what you’re doing right now!” My mom commanded, he took a quick glance at me before he continue sweeping.
“So son, what is it? You look so happy today?” Said my mom.
“Mom, she said I love you too Enita to me” I whispered into mom’s ear and she gasps.
“Really? Oh my daughter! Come, come and hug your future mother in law” She squeaked like a baby as she pull Mimi into a hug.
I didn’t tell you my behaves like a baby. She’s a baby adult.
I saw Mimi smiling as mom dragged her to another place to talk their mother and daughter stuff.
I sighed. Mom has carried Mimi away now.
Ahh! Today’s the happiest day of my life. I won’t stop thinking about today.
I love you too Enita Kept ringing in my ears.
My brother was done sweeping. He went ahead and keep the broom with the dustpan somewhere.
He cams outside and gave me a mischievous smile I don’t understand.
“This one that you’re smiling like you stole meat. Hope nothing?” I said taking the handkerchief in my hand to clean the table and chairs.
“Brother, you know what I mean now. Permission to go and see her?”
I quickly raised my head up and furrowed my brows.
“You said what? Go where? If you go anywhere, I will kill you. Even if you are in love, you don’t have to start running mad because if love. Stay, you will be going in the afternoon. Let’s help mom”
“I know you won’t allow me to go. If I don’t see her by the stream then am going to her house.” Brume answered with a lopsided smile.
“In fact you’re not going to see her today. I don’t know why you’re troubling this girl. It either you’re going in the afternoon or not. I don’t know when you’ve become a monitoring spirit.” I spat.
He scoffed and walk away. To the kitchen which was at the backyard.
Finally, the two, my mom and Mimi was done with their talking. I peeked my sugar on the cheek and she blushed.

Brume’s POV
I ran out of the canteen to Rose’s house. Cause she can’t be at the stream by now.
If you say, am monitoring her. Yes, I am.
I stood far away from the house. I was staying under a banana tree. She came out with her friend, Ruth. She bid her good bye and turned to leave.
I waved my hand so she can see me. She did look at me. And with a frown.
“What are you doing here Brume?” She fired.
“I came to see you. I see you’re alone” I replied, calmly.
“Am fine, you can go now.”
“Okay, just came to check on you. Bye” I cupped her cheeks on my palms.
I whispered. “Take care dear” And left.

Rose’s POV
I watch him as he walk away. I wanted to tell him how much have been loving him. But I just don’t know how to bring my self down to tell him.

Enita’s POV
“Enita! Enita! Why are you sleeping here? You won’t attend to the customers any more?” My mom half yelled.
I didn’t say anything, instead I stood up and began work back.
I heard my mom’s phone ringing and she went ahead to pick it.
“Yes?…ohh..Really? Wow that was pretty fast …Am telling Enita now. Okay, go bye.” My mom breathe out.
“What’s wrong mom? You sound happy” I was feeling concern.
“Nothing, your uncle’s wedding……has been fixed. His wedding is going to be next month. The traditional marriage will be done here.
Wow! Finally! My uncle is getting married. My favorite meal will be cooked that day.
I can’t wait. All the enemies should go and sit.
Where’s Suleiman? My one and only cheap tailor.
