CHRIS POV

I opened the door and ushered her in. She hugged me tight and I could bet she wasn’t just here for a conversation but another thing cause she had no bra on.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” Sophia asked.

“Um… Nothing. You look beautiful.”

“Thanx sweetie”

“Sit” I said. “What should I offer you?

“Never mind. I’m okay with you.”

I smiled and sat down. We talked about some issues before she hit the bull eye. I stared at her listening attentively to every words she spilled out.

“Sophia. I don’t think I like it the way you want. I’m not scared but I don’t want any blood stain on my hand.” I paused and checked to read the reaction on her face.

I continued “Let’s just kidnap her and ask for ransom”

“Do you know what you’re talking about at all? How much can a ransom fetch us? Killing her will make chief die slowly and I’ll kill him myself bit by bit, then it’s all ours. Every single thing that belongs to him!” She said, raising her voice a bit.

“Sophia, I know what I’m saying. There will be consequences. Spilling someone else blood. Don’t you….” I tried to convince her but she cut me short.

“Okay. You’re mine, I’m yours. Whatever you want.” She said, smiling.

“You’ve agreed? No blood. Just kidnap her, ask for a ransom” I asked surprised.

“Yes. Moreover, we’ll get something after all. Billions of nairas. We can live a good life thereafter.” She said.

I smiled and hissed inwardly. “You and who? I have my own plans. How will I get married to a mother of two? You’re just my bank. And Bella, I smiled. I’ll have my way.”

“So, when? I can’t wait to” I asked.

She stared at the ceiling for a while and picked up her phone. She dialed a number and i could hear what she was saying. She was talking to someone, a man.

“What about tomorrow?” She asked.

“Tomorrow? That’s too early” I asked.

“Too early to make money? Why are you acting like a kid. I want this done fast. As soon as possible. It’s not like we’re gonna get the ransom that same tomorrow. Chief isn’t at home. It will make it so easy. He’ll just receive a call and thank goodness he’s there for business. Wise up dear” She barked making me look stupid.

I nodded and raised my hands in the air in surrender. I wasn’t happy with it cause I was still planning on how to carry out my plot. I think i have to level up really quick.

SOPHIA’S POV

I laid down exhausted on his bed. That’s what I’ll miss about him. How foolish of him to think I would just agree on his stupid talk. I plan on killing someone and get the whole thing to myself and he’s telling me shit about asking for ransom.

I wish i didn’t tell him anything about it at all but I had f–k up. Now that I told him, i had no option than to involve him so as to get rid of him. I smiled as he slept peacefully.

Few hours later, I dressed up ready to leave after another round of sex with him. Emily had called my phone and i missed her call.

My phone rang. “Hello Stan…. You have her pictures already, don’t you?…. Good… I’ll work how she’ll get out of the compound and you guys will do your job…. Yes… Tomorrow… No… There’s another person we have to take out first before her… He’ll walk in by himself, no need to get stressed.” I ended the call, deleted his number and drove straight home.

ALIYAH’S POV

I placed both hands on the staring, feeling nervous. I stared at David. He nodded positively and pointed at the ignition.

Slowly, ignite it. The engine roared. I sighed deeply and faced front. I stepped on the turtle and we jerked forward a bit. I almost hit my head on the steering.

David gasped. He stared at me and burst out laughing. I glared at him and this time around, hit the turtle more hard.

“Ouch!” I cried in pain as my head hit the staring this time around. David laughed and opened the car door.

“I’m not ready to die yet. Miss, come down” He said, wanting to come take the wheel.

I ignored and stepped on the turtle again. I zoomed off turning the staring more like a drift. I laughed as David ran in circle Screaming.

Few hours later, we drove home. Of course, i drove him even if it took us hours to get home. He had begged me to take it slow, else, he would jump off. Of course, he wouldn’t. We’ll die here together.

Jane clapped as we got down. She ran forward and hugged me.

“You’re quite fast at learning” She said.

“Fast? I almost died. Her first day learning how to drive and she was drifting.” David said.

“Don’t mind him. It wasn’t intentional” I said.

“I trust you. Let’s go” Jane said and stuck out her tongue at David.

CHIEF RICHARD’S POV

I tried Bella’s number but it wasn’t going through. I tried to reach Sophia too but it was the same result. I guess I would have to surprise them.

I rested my head on the sofa feeling very happy. This was one of the biggest contacts I’d receive since I married Sophia. Ever since Bella came around, i could swear she’s a blessing. Contracts from abroad and wide the countries kept flowing in.

“Come in” i said as i heard a knock on my door. Joe entered with a nylon. That’s our dinner, I guess.

“Have you called her sir?” He asked.

“Called both of them but it’s not going through. I guess we’ll leave it as surprise then” I sighed and ate the snack.

“Okay sir. I’ll be off to my room now”

“Have you eaten?”

“Yes sir.”

“Okay. Goodnight”

“Goodnight Sir.” He replied and left.
