Episode 12

-continuation-

Dave opened the door and met Abies smiling.

Abies: hey.

Dave: hi.

Abies: can i at least come in?

Dave: of course, don’t mind me.

He quickly opened the door for her and sat down in a plastic chair opposite the bed and motioned for her to sit down on the bed.
“So what brings you here at this time of the night?”

“i really wanted to see u and hear your voice before i went to bed. I missed you” she replied.

Dave was getting uneasy at all the sweet talk that he was hearing.
“please be sincere. Why did you come to see me? Or did the king send for me?” dave asked.

“why are u doubting my motive? Or hasn’t a girl told you she missed you before?” she replied
“okay, thanks. I heard that you detest violence and so didn’t come for the match. May i ask why is that?” dave said.

“Hmm, so u missed me too. That’s why u asked about me. Who told u by the way?” she asked back.
“that’s not important, just tell me why u hate violence. I’m all ears” dave tactfully replied.

Abies then proceeded to tell him how she witnessed an ugly incident while she was schooling in italy.

It was actually a heated argument between two people, she didn’t know the cause but she knew that it would soon get physical. She wanted to see them engage in a brawl and her wish was granted as punch upon punch were been thrown.

One of the men, who was losing in the fight, out of anger picked a baseball bat that was lying on the road and with one swift move, he hit the man accross the face, causing him to fall facedown. The man then kept on smatching his opponents head like as if he was killing a rat.

In the end the man’s brain was clearly visible through the back of his head. Abies fainted on the scene and that was the last day that she ever watched a fight, either live or in a film.

-the next day-
Dave woke up with a slight headache, the reason was not far-fetched, as he worked a lot the previous day.

Dave prayed to his gods and went to the throne room. He greeted the king and the queen. The king asked him to see him later cause dave was going to accompany him somewhere.

He then went to his bathroom which was adjoining with his room and used toothbrush, which he has neglected for some time because he prefers chewing stick.

-later-
Dave went to meet the king, but he was busy in a meeting with the chiefs.

He went to Ovie’s room and chatted with her before going to the king afterwards.

The king asked dave if he knew how to drive a car and dave said yes.

King: good, tommorrow u’ll accompany to the city. I want us to do something there, hmm? Is that okay?

Dave: yes your highness.
