Episode 13
After Dave left the throne room he went to see Abies and she didn’t miss any opportunity to do sweet talk with him.
He was left with no option than to flatter her in return, which always made her blush.
-early the next day-
Dave woke up and he was excited and at the same time scared.
He was excited because he was going to see his uncle again.
This was his father’s immediate younger brother who had relocated to the city some years before his parents death. The man’s name was Ogbeide Adun. After dave’s parents died, Dave was a 19 yr teenager who was just about to write waec.
His uncle helped him pay his exam fees and also gave him monthly allowance, until dave could stand on his own.
They had always been in touch through letters.
On the other hand, dave was scared because it might just be that the gods instructed that he should be sacrificed. Such cases were not uncommon in their kingdom.
Dave’s dad once told him about the story of a king, that lived a long long time ago.
The kingdom were facing disaster upon disaster. The oracle was consulted and the king was told that the gods were not happy about the wickedness of the prince and so the king was ordered to take him outside the village and kill him there.

Dave got prepared and went to the throne room to accompany the king.
When he got there, the king was already dressed and after greeting him, they embarked on the journey to the city.
On the way, the king and dave conversed and got to know more about each other.

-three hours later-
Car honks, traders advertisenent and conductors screaming their different bus stops all made the city lively.
The king instructed his driver to take them to an eatery before anything else, as they all needed to take some refreshment.
Dave had earlier on asked for permission to see his uncle which the king consented to.
After thier refreshments, they drove to a car company. Dave was getting more confused. He wanted to ask his king their purpose for being there, but he just kept quiet.

“your highness, you are welcome. How was the trip”? The manager asked.
“it was fine. How is everything?” the king replied.
Manager: Good, right this way, your highness
The manager led them towards the place where vehicles of different brands where kept. He walked towards a honda corrola was parked and carefully placed a key inside the key hole and opened the car.
King: dave, would u please get that file from the driver seat?
Dave: here it is.
King: can u please put your name and sign on it?
Dave: but, these are the papers for the car.
King: i know
Dave: so are u saying that this car is mine?
