Episode 3

The celebrations began. Traditional songs filled the air. Everyone was in a joyous mood. There was much to eat and drink ranging from local to white man’s delicacy.

Dignitaries from far and wide graced the occassion in order to celebrate with the king and also to see the man who was willing to die for his king. Dave was presented with lots of gifts and equally prayed for by the people.

The king stood up to adress the people.

The man you see before you, saved my life. He was willing to sacrifice his life to save mine. I, King Osawaru, have thus named him my right hand man, the man that is to run all the affairs of the palace. The king said.

The king then also presented a very beautiful, shining ring to Dave. The ring has been passed by king to prince for generations now.

Dave fought hard to suppress the tears in his eyes, but he lost the battle as drops of tears rolled on his cheeks. He then prostrated and collected the ring, admist cheers and admiration.

The king’s wife, Queen Iyoha, also thanked him for saving the king’s life.

Then the music and merriment resumed.

He turned and saw phil walking towards him, smiling. They hugged and laughed.

Phil: oboi congrats oo

dave: thanks bro.

Ehen, u see say princess Abies da eye u since? Phil asked.

U nor well oo. Dave replied.

Princess Abies was the king’s first daughter, a very tall, pretty lady of 22 years.

Dave knew he was a lil bit handsome but to make princess Abies stare at him? Or was she just a lil bit jealous?

He came back to life when he felt someone tapping his shoulder. He turned and saw princess Abies…………………..
