Episode 55

“Now that that’s out of the way, can you KINDLY finish your food, sir?”

“Francesca, what part of I am full do you not understand?”

“I dunno.” She remarked in an ‘I-don’t-care’ manner, widening her eyes mockingly. “Maybe the part where I spent over an hour preparing dinner for all of us? Or maybe the part where you refused to dine with Alice and I since like 40 minutes ago or something, which forced me to keep your food in the microwave oven only for me to bring it out again and you’re still going on with this crappy talk that I don’t even want to hear at all.”

“Crappy talk?” I quoted, amazed by her ignorant remark. “You know what, Francesca? You can have this so-called food to yourself. I’ve got more important things to worry about. On this note, I’m done here!”

Having said that, I got up from the chair with the intention of going to the balcony upstairs, and my fiancée did the same too, posing like a savage, fearless lioness.

“Young man, you lie!” Francesca snarled, approaching me undauntedly. When she had gotten very close to me, she folded her arms, hissed like a shameless w—e and added: “You’re going nowhere! I repeat, nowhere!”

“Has it gotten to this?”
She eyed me badly and hissed again. “Unfortunately, I’m afraid it has.”
“So what do you want to do to me now?” I asked, paying adequate attention to her facial expression. “Let me guess, you’re about to grab the nearest biggest vase and break it on my head as you’ve always threatened? Huh?”
“And why would I do that to you?” Francesca replied rhetorically, still eyeing me as if I was some sort of helpless street dog or a pathetic lowlife who didn’t deserve the privilege of talking back at her. “You should know me too well by now. Lord knows I say and do a lot of things when I’m angry, but one thing I’ll never ever do is to hold a grudge against someone. That’s just utter nonsense, and that’s not who I am. You already know me like the back of your hand. So, stop acting like a–”
